Autograph letter (fragment) from Martin Benson, Bishop of Gloucester, Westminster, to Bishop Berkeley [manuscript], 1749/50 January 27.

Sent from Berry St., Westminster. Benson has heard of the success of his address in Ireland [A word to the wise] and urges that an impression of it be printed off. Mention of the ecclesiastical appointments and vacancies. The likelihood of seeing bishops established in the colonies in America is very doubtful. A reformation of the calendar is likely.
